Once again we were absolutely honoured to be exclusively selected as the Official Gown Sponsor for the Miss Universe Australia Queensland Team of 2017! After such an incredible year in 2016 creating over 35 beautiful gowns for the QLD state and national finalists. When asked to take on 2017 with this prestigious role we were totally excited to create yet another beautiful collection for this new group of Australia's Most Beautiful Women!

As the Official Sponsor of Miss Universe Australia 2017. Begitta - Bridal & Couture took on this amazing task of dressing 26 gorgeous Queensland girls in the state finals and going on to work one-on-one with the TOP 5 most gorgeous girls of QLD! Having spent hundreds of hours creating these stunning bespoke couture gowns for our divine QLD representatives on the national stage, each of these designs will become staples in our new collection MERMAIDIA. A collection inspired by Sirens of the sea and the depths of the ocean, set to be released later this year, so enjoy this little sneak peek of what is to come!

Having Begitta judge the Queensland State finals and then attending the fabulous red-carpet Gala event has been the highlight of our year for the last two and this year certainly didn't disappoint! It was such an incredible night, seeing two of our Queensland girls place in the top 10! Elise Chambellant and Laura Hanlon absolutely KILLED IT and we could not be more proud!

Congratulations to our beautiful QLD Girls! You are all absolutely beautiful inside and out! We absolutely LOVED working with each and every contestant throughout out journey aptly named #THEMISSUNIVERSEPROJECT! With so many incredibly gorgeous girls to Judge at State Finals and then to see our beautiful top 5 go onto the Nationals has been such a treat with memories to treasure for a lifetime!
