This photo shoot had its challenges being an outdoor shoot on top of a mountain but we wanted to embrace the raw environment and use this as a focal part of the shoot. This helped to enhance the Boho theme of the whole shoot. Cloud formations and a stunning outlook made the perfect back drop. Photography of soft gentle moments were highlighted throughout this shoot. Fabulous vendors working together made this photo shoot such amazing project to work on. THE DRESS Exquisite embroidered lace creates a svelte fit to flare silhouette of this stunning Begitta -Bridal and Couture bridal gown, additional hand appliqued fleurettes scattered lovingly over bust, waist, the divine full length sleeves and trickling down the train makes this piece stunningly bespoke and one-of-a-kind. Creating additional length and movement with the ethereal style removable belted skirt of silk chiffon, perfect for a touch of drama whilst keeping that relaxed bohemian bride feel! The stunning earcuffs hand-made with deluxe goose feather detail are an absolute show stopper and create such a unique and striking look for the utterly boho chic bride. Add a cathedral length Mantilla Veil for a truly awe-inspiring entrance! THE HAIR A hairstyle of soft woven curls creating a boho weaved look with an array of textures and colour, creating a sensual romantic but relaxed hairstyle. Headpeices of feathers used to enhance the boho theme. THE MAKEUP A make up look inspired by the latest trends of using rose gold as part of the colour pallette for a spring wedding, a smokey brown and rose gold shimmer on the eye with volumous lashes accentuates the natural blue hues of the models eyes. Peachy tones married with bronze to create the overall earthy boho theme. (Velbella - THE CELEBRANT It's such a pleasure to step outside the boundaries of normality in the land of Love & Marriage! This project had so much style, colour and exciting new concepts. The gorgeous couple were joined in ceremony amongst the beauty of the Australian bush setting. Words of love, hope and promise were shared under an Aztec Alter that connected the earth to the sky. My path as a Marriage Celebrant was taken to a higher place and my inner bohemian spirit danced in delight! INVITATIONS AND STATIONERY The invitations and stationery featured aztec shapes and boho colours inspired from the alter and then hand guilded cooper leaf that tied in beautifully with the flower filled metallic pots and cake whilst adding the extra special element to complete the boho feel. THE CAKE Using an airbrushed copper palette, this three-tier cake was highlighted with pops of orange, lavender and pink in both the geometric design and the fantasy flowers. Hand-made fondant succulents were the main focus and tied in with the floral arrangements and bouquets. Natural tones from the bride's hair and makeup were the inspiration for the wired feather topper. THE STYLING This shoot was such a joy to design, it allowed me to step outside of the wedding styling box and be innovative with bold colours and shapes. What really stands this shoot apart from others is how all vendors involved collaborated together to create such a perfectly finished product that I would be so delighted to deliver to a client. Out first job was to clearly find our unique niche that was going to make our future clients swoon and for myself this was the handmade altar. With many ideas shared and the dress made it was now time to get busy and sketch some ideas. My first idea was the Aztec geometric altar. I was able to create warmth with the wood, lots of colour and texture with the matte shapes whilst the metallic copper adds that little bit of sparkle all weddings need. With my power tools at the ready I was able to design and build products that are practical, usable and of course a one off. Specially sourced materials and hand made products adorned the shoot to bring all elements together that showcases a wonderland of talent by all vendors involved. I am so excited to have this new hire suite as part of our range. We were so lucky to have this photo shoot featured in the wonderful Brisbane Wedding Weekly's online magazine along with a print version of the fabulous Style Magazines Bridal February edition (Page 48) Photographer: We Are Twine - www.wearetwine.com.au

Merely weeks before their adventurous wedding on Stradbroke Island I was contacted to create a very special gown for the beautiful Lisa of 2People1Life. Talk about an incredibly exciting project! Lisa and Alex were to be celebrating their 68th Wedding after touring the world and being married in each country and taking on the soul touching customs and traditions that are present in each culture. To have a hand in creating their Australian wedding was an absolute privilege, this couple has nothing but beautiful love, adoring words and incredible admiration for each other. Their chemistry is simply undeniable and to see such love combined with the awe inspiring scenery and styling created by such a wonderful team and two of our lovely gowns, it truly was a wedding to behold.
The ceremony was held at the sacred Brown Lake of the Quandamooka people who have been coming to the brown lake for centuries. With the help of the amazing Burnt Orange Events planning and putting together such an amazing team and creating a custom made alter. Aunty Evelyn, an elder from the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation, had agreed to come and offer the couple her blessing to be the first people to ever hold a ceremony (with permission) at the lake. The flowers were something in their own. WOW! Stradbroke Weddings had beautiful arrangements floating in the calm lake where the couple would dip their toes during their vows that were overseen by the beautiful Lindsay Carroll, the couples celebrant who presented such a heartfelt ceremony. With post ceremony picnic treats by Love My Food, Cake and sweets by Hansel and Gretel and divine Succulent favours – Fair Light Blessed. Each of these stunning images were captured by Shane Shepherd Photography and incredibly moving and beautiful video by Goldbear Wedding films. (see below!) Whilst Alex looked incredibly dapper in his URBBANA Suit, Lisa was made up with fabulous Hair and make-up by The Beauty Case I created two beautiful shimmering gowns for Lisa, one custom designed to show her beautifully petite figure. A design that would look at home at a beautiful venue as the Sacred Lake where the wedding would take place but also something that would stand out and sparkle in the sunshine. I created such a gown, working with a beautiful metallic gold lace over a nude underlay creating the perfect amount of depth, grading into beautiful hand-appliqued lace and from here I worked with layers and layers of beautiful silk chiffon that would capture the wind and float beautifully in the breeze. Which it did, for a short time, until the heavens opened up and blessed us with a rather incredible rain storm! Our gorgeous couple made the most of it, dipping themselves further into the lake. The second gown was our Golden Empress Gown – Complete with head to toe sequins, avant-garde shoulder pads with beautifully draped chains and jewels in the back flowing into an incredible train that could rival the most dramatic of gowns. When Lisa put this piece on she transformed from Blessed Lady of The Lake to an incredible Goddess of the Ocean! As you can see by the exquisite images Lisa (and Alex!) looked divine!
